About Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network
The Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN, Inc.) is a statewide consortium that coordinates the delivery of civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families across Pennsylvania. The organization provides strategic leadership and administers funding from various sources to support a network of independent legal aid programs. This network comprises eight regional legal aid programs, serving all counties in Pennsylvania, and six specialized legal resource programs that focus on specific areas of law or client groups.
PLAN, Inc. ensures access to essential legal services by overseeing grant distribution, compliance, data reporting, and performance monitoring for its member organizations. The network's programs offer direct representation and information on legal rights and remedies. They address a range of civil legal issues, including housing stability, access to veterans and Social Security benefits, protection for older adults from financial exploitation, and assistance with protection orders and custody arrangements for survivors of abuse. The network also aids in preventing foreclosures and securing access to life-sustaining utility services. In 2025, the network provided free legal assistance to nearly 81,000 households and legal advice to over 56,000 additional individuals through community clinics and workshops.

They don't want to help me with keeping my parental rights with my daughter. Do you realize how many dead beat dads there are in this world??? Then you got me a man that wants to be a father and I can't ne because legal aid will not help nor did they even have the empathy to refer me to an office that can help. I'm so at wits ends. If you don't have enough money no one wants to help you ne a father.
