Laura Abrams, the firm's founder, has represented public entities in Ohio since 1993. She has argued cases before the Ohio Supreme Court and presented cases to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, and Ninth Circuits, and Ohio's First, Second, and Twelfth District Courts of Appeals. Ms. Abrams is a cum laude graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she served as an editor of the Law Review. Before founding the firm, she clerked for the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Second Appellate District, and led the governmental and administrative law practice at Sirkin, Pinales, Mezibov & Schwartz.

Ms. Abrams currently serves as the Law Director of Springfield Township, Ohio, the General Counsel for The Ohio Plan, Inc., and the Mayor's Court Magistrate for the Village of Glendale. She regularly provides training on employment law and Ohio public entity issues. She was recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star in "Cities & Municipalities" in 2005. She is an active member of the Ohio bar and the Cincinnati Bar Association, and has served on various community and legal committees.
