Founded in 1969, the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights is a nonpartisan civil rights advocacy group committed to racial equity and economic opportunity. The organization provides direct legal services and engages in systemic advocacy to address issues such as housing discrimination, education equity, and voting rights throughout Illinois and Indiana.   I first had contact with the CLCCRUL in 2001 & they have been incredibly helpful to me and others If know ever since. They are an excellent nonprofit organization and if I were able I'd leave them a ton of cash to be well spent after I am no longer here. These folks are legal eagles & angels to the working poor, elders & folks with disabilities. Absolute Godsends!
